The state of Texas has admitted the largest number of Burmese refugees, with 23,204 people since 2000. Notable cities with large Burmese populations are Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. These major cities provide a diverse and accepting new home for the Burmese people that move there. Texas cities also include strong and dependable Burmese communities for their involved neighbors.
