Michigan

The state of Michigan serves as the home to over 4797 Burmese refugees. Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, and Lansing serve as major cities for the Burmese community. Michigan hosts a wide array of church services that assist refuges in the resettlement and adjustment processes. Other notable organizations, such as the Burma Center, also help the Burmese population with skills such as translation, interpretation, job placement, English skills, and community engagement. Michigan cities provide a lively and diverse home for Burmese populations.
